A look back at the 2019 edition of Novembre Numérique (Digital November), the great celebration of digital cultures celebrated on five continents
This year, the 3rd international edition of Novembre Numérique took place in nearly 60 countries and 85 cities around the world: from New Zealand to Ecuador, Hong Kong to Kenya, Spain to Canada, Germany to Niger and more.
French and foreign fans and professionals from the sector came together in celebratory spirit to (de)code, create, play with and think about the new forms of digital creation. In-depth programmes combining workshops, debates, shows, exhibitions, hackathons, escape gamesetc have allowed us to question the forms, practices, uses and challenges of the digital revolution.
This has been a great opportunity to take a fresh look at issues such as gender equality, participatory democracy, trans-humanism, gastronomy and the French language. Virtual and augmented reality, video games, new narratives, digital art, electronic music and immersive theatre were, among others, the main areas for reflection.
This global event has also been an opportunity for French experts to showcase their expertise on an international stage and collaborate with local experts from each participating country.
