Despite the public health crisis due to the coronavirus, Cinéma du réel has decided to proceed as planned and has announced its awards. And one of the many prizes awarded: The Institut français – Louis Marcorelles Award went to Chronique de la terre perdue by Marie Dault.

A special mention was awarded to Il n’y aura plus de nuit by Eléonore Weber.

The Central African film Makongo by Elvis Sabin Ngaibino was selected for the SCAM Award and the Prix des bibliothèques, presented by the Directorate General of Media and Cultural Industries of the Ministry of Culture. It was competing in the International Film section.

This film had been awarded the Cinémathèque Afrique Jury's Pick Award, in the Final Cut in Venicesection, reserved for professionals with films in post-production.

It has now entered the Cinémathèque Afrique’s catalogue.
