European Film Festival, a programme that supports EU delegations in organising European film festivals around the world, is offering them the opportunity to participate in a European online festival from 5 May to 5 June 2021.
The European Film Festival is a programme that supports EU delegations in organising European film festivals around the world. It is implemented by a consortium of partners led by the Goethe-Institut, in collaboration with the Institut français and Cineuropa. The project enables the organisation and creation of European film festivals around the world and promotes European audiovisual creation.
In 2019, more than 70 festivals around the world benefited from this support, notably by using the multilingual broadcasting material produced by the Institut français for the 30 titles in the catalogue. In all, 600 Blu-Rays and 150 DCPs are circulating between the various delegations of the European Union to show the films in the programme to their audiences.
In May 2021, the European Film Festival is offering European delegations the opportunity to participate in a European online festival on the Festivalscope platform and is proposing 10 of the films which expanded its catalogue in 2021:
- Acasa my home by Radu Ciorniciuc
- Aurora by Miia Tervo
- Bad Poems by Gabor Reisz
- Viendra le feu by Oliver Laxe
- Her Job by Nikos Labôt
- My Brother Chases Dinosaurs by Stefano Cipani
- Oleg by Juris Kursietis
- Nos Batailles by Guillaume Senez
- Les parfums by Gregory Magne
