Professionals in the performing arts sector, don't miss the meetings of the Institut français which will be held from 7 to 15 July 2021 in Avignon!

In parallel to Focus Spectacle Vivant organised in partnership with the Festival d'Avignon, LAPAS (Association des Professionnels de l'Administration du Spectacle), La Manufacture, the Théâtre des Doms, and the Théâtre du Train Bleu (supported by La Magnanerie), the Institut français is helping to relaunch activity by informing about the different programmes to which it is committed.

For professionals in the sector, this Focus will be an opportunity to discuss new issues and problems that the different actors involved may face.

Programme

8ème Rencontres Recherche et Création - La mémoire du futur : Les conditions du bonheur

Every year since 2014, Rencontres Recherche et Création has been experimenting with new forms of dialogue between artists and researchers, between international research and the concerns of cultural actors. The theme for this 8th edition is "La mémoire du futur" ("Memory of the future"). Institut français meeting

The festival invites us to remember the future and to think about utopias. The Institut français upholds this poetic and political ambition and illustrates it during this meeting. How can we remain attentive to the emergence of new creative forms? How can we support operators who promote social cohesion? How can we support artists working abroad while deeply questioning our societies?

Three strands are being proposed:

  • Support for innovative art forms
  • Commitment to civil society stakeholders in Africa in conjunction with French partners
  • International cooperation (Théâtre Export, Danse Export)

Speakers: Paul Rondin (executive director of the Festival d'Avignon), Nach (choreographer), Eric Minh Cuong Castaing(choreographer), Anne-Sophie Turion (artist and scenographer), Thomas Guérineau (juggler), Claire David (editorial and artistic director of the Académie Charles-Dullin), Hermann Lugan (head of the Theatre and Dance Office at the Institut français of Germany), Julie Kretzschmar (artistic director of the Festival les Rencontres à l'échelle / Les bancs publics), DeLaVallet Bidiefono (director of Baninga | Espace CDC Baning'art).
