Updated on 11/06/2019
After a successful first edition in 2018, Shoot the Book Anim': Meet the Publishers returns to Mifa for the second year running, in partnership with SCELF (the Civil Society for French Language Publishers), the Institut français and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Cinema.
Shoot the Book!, an initiative launched in 2014 at the Cannes Film Festival by SCELF, aims to promote the audiovisual adaptation of French publications.
During the Shoot the Book Anim' session in Mifa, six French works, chosen for their potential to be adapted to animation by an international jury of audiovisual professionals, will be pitched by their publishers. There will also be three international works from Japan, Canada and Switzerland.
The members of the Annecy jury 2019 are:
- Corinne Destombes, Foaming, France
- Fonda Snyder, Alchemy Ink, United States
- Emmanuel Bernard, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Cinema, France
- Laëtitia Favro, Le Journal du Dimanche, France
