The final selection committee for the Villa Kujoyama has chosen, from among the 251 applications received, 17 projects with close links to Japan to be undertaken by 20 artists and creators who will spend between 2-6 months in residence in Kyoto over the course of 2019.

 

Following a pre-selection process conducted by 11 experts in artistic creation, the final selection committee chose the following candidates:

  • Simon Moers and Tomoe Kobayashi (collaboration) - Street arts, circus, puppets
  • Luz Moreno and Anaïs Silvestro (joint project) - Gastronomy

  • Rithy Panh - Cinema
  • Laurel Parker and Paul Chamard (joint project) - Applied Arts
