Since its launch in 2017, Novembre Numérique has become the digital highlight of the French cultural network abroad.
Throughout November, Instituts français, Alliances françaises and Embassy and Consulate cultural services, supported by their partners, shine the spotlight on digital cultures in all their diversity – virtual and augmented reality, video games, digital arts, audiovisual performances, immersive theatre and concerts, innovative books, web series and web documentaries, online cultural offers, new applications, innovative French learning tools, etc – in a range of formats: workshops, debates, shows, exhibitions, hackathons, educational and linguistic events, cultural entrepreneurship programmes, escape games, etc.
Novembre Numérique offers a rich programme aimed at the general public and professionals, exploring the forms, practices, uses and challenges of digital technology, presenting the wealth of French digital creation and bringing together French and foreign talent in the service of audiences and innovation.
In 2020, on-site and/or online programming was presented in 70 countries and a hundred cities. Innovative ideas and pleasant surprises are once again in store for this 5th anniversary edition, which will include France for the first time, with a series of events organised in partnership with several cultural institutions for Novembre Numérique.
