Artist Zineb Sedira, who will represent France at the 59th International Art Exhibition La Biennale di Venezia in 2022, has chosen the curatorial team comprised of Yasmina Reggad, and Sam Bardaouil and Till Fellrath of Art Reoriented to curate her exhibition for the French Pavilion.
As part of its partnership with the SLPJ, the French Institute intervenes during the Salon de la Presse et de Littérature Jeunesse 2020, which has switched the majority of its programming online for this 2020 edition.
The Institut français is launching the digital campaign entitled #plusloin (#further), to promote French language learning among 18 to 25-year-olds, on a global scale.
Through this campaign, the Institut français and its partners are inviting young people from around the world to learn French in order to expand their horizons and increase their chances of success.
Initiated by the French Ministry of Culture, the Forum « Entrepreneurship in Culture » (« Entreprendre dans la Culture ») aims to provide practical and concrete information to cultural actors. It promotes innovative projects led by French cultural entrepreneurs.
Due to the health crisis, the 2020 edition of the Forum will take place online, from October 19th to 23rd.
This 5th edition took place from 2nd to 7th November 2020 in Ouagadougou, in a hybrid format (face-to-face and video-conference) because of its realization in the context of COVID-19.
Considering Lebanon’s unprecedented crisis, the Institut français, in collaboration with the Institut français du Liban, supports Lebanese artists thanks to the deployment of exceptional residency opportunities in France through its program at the Cité internationale des arts.
From October 2020, eight Lebanese artists will be in residence in Paris for a period of three months in order to develop a research and creation project. These artists, coming from all artistic disciplines, will be supported by the Institut français for the development of their projects.
