On the proposal of the selection committee chaired by Charlotte Laubard, Jean-Yves Le Drian, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, and Franck Riester, Minister for Culture, Zineb Sedira has been selected to represent France at the 59thVenice International Art Biennale in 2021.
As part of the Semaine de la langue française et de la francophonie (French Language and Francophonie Week) from 14 to 22 March 2020, the Institut français is organising the first international French-language eloquence competition entitled "À mots ouvert". The final, on Tuesday 17 March from 18.00 to 20.00, will see eight young French speakers competing in four oratory jousts under the cupola of the Institut de France. The winner will be chosen by a jury chaired by Leïla Slimani.
